I love cruise tours and fortunately, we have several companies offer cruises along the corniche or out to the islands, including Blue dolphin Company (+971 2 666 9392), Sunshine Tours (+971 2 444 9914).Al Dhafra ( www.aldhafra.net) offering dhow cruises and charters, and often the trip can be tailored to the wishes of the passengers. If you want to see the city from a different perspective; this is the way to do it.

Traditional dhow cruises are popular. Dhow is a traditional wooden sailing boat used for centuries by merchants and traders sailing the waters of the Arabian Gulf and further afield. Those intended for tourist use come equipped with modern amenities such as satellite navigation and bathrooms. Sailing days can be arranged through hotels and tour operators.
